Super Eagles next stop Unity Cup defense, Portugal World Cup warm-up
While other teams will be preparing for the 2026 World Cup, the Super Eagles will have a chance to defend the Unity Cup they won last year in England and then take on Portugal in a friendly in June.
The Unity Cup is scheduled for between May 26 to 30 in London.
The Super Eagles beat Jamaica in the Unity Cup final last year to give Eric Chelle his first trophy as a coach.
They will then face Poland on June 3 in Warsaw, before they take on Portugal on June 10, which will be a World Cup warm-up for the host team.
Portugal will battle Nigeria’s World Cup conquerors DR Congo in the first round of the World Cup along with Colombia and Uzbekistan.
The Super Eagles fell 4-0 to Portugal as they prepared to feature at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
