Mmamba Kakoboza, Nkima to tussle in 2026 Bika Bya Baganda football final

Mmamba Kakoboza will battle Nkima in the football final of the 2026 Bika Bya Baganda championship this coming Saturday, 6th June at the Muteesa II Wankulukuku stadium.

The two finalists were confirmed after the successful semi-finals at the aforementioned venue on Sunday, 31st May 2026.

Nkima edged Ngo 1-0 courtesy of a goal by Ivan Junior Katumba during the first semi-final.

The second semi-final witnessed Mmamba Kakoboza eject Kkobe 1-0 with Samuel Nsubuga the goal scorer.

Meanwhile, in the netball final, Mmamba will face Nte during the gold medal match.

The semi-finals has Nte edge Nnyonnyi Nnyange 46-42; to win with a difference of four goals.

Mmamba whipped Ngabi Nsamba 53-37 during the second semi-final.

The Bika Bya Baganda sports tournament dates as far back as 1950.

It is only played by clans within Buganda Kingdom to foster unity, boost talent development and provide entertainment to the subjects of the Kabaka.
