Newly signed defender Nicholas Mwere has expressed his immense pride and readiness to hit the ground running after finalising his move to Ugandan Premier League giants, Vipers SC.

Speaking shortly after his unveiling, the ambitious left-back did not hide his excitement about joining the Venoms, describing the transfer as a monumental milestone in his professional career.

“Joining Vipers SC is a proud moment in my career,” Mwere stated. “This is a club with a winning culture, great ambitions, and incredible supporters. I am ready to work hard, learn from the technical team, and give everything to help the club achieve its objectives. I can’t wait to get started.”

A statement of intent

Mwere joins a Vipers side that is constantly under pressure to deliver silverware and challenge both domestically and on the continental stage.

Rather than being intimidated by the high-stakes environment at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, the defender appears energised by the club’s relentless pursuit of success.

His acknowledgement of the club’s winning culture signals his awareness of the demands that await him. The Venoms’ technical bench will look to harness this hunger as they integrate him into the squad ahead of a demanding season.

What Mwere brings to Kitende

Mwere provides defensive strength through his disciplined positioning and timely interventions.
