SC Villa’s Hassan Mubiru attracts attention from regional giants

SC Villa wonderkid Hassan Mubiru is a subject of interest from regional clubs Simba, Singida Black Stars and APR, Kawowo Sportshas learnt.
Mubiru is enjoying a fantastic season with record league champions SC Villa and has been involved in over ten goals in all competitions so far helping the Jogoos reach the quarter finals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup as well as mount a title challenge in the league.
The Express academy graduate leads the assists chart for the Blues with six in the league and has scored twice from wide areas.

Mubiru, who can ably operate as a no.9, 10 and also play on both wings still has a more than a year left on his contract but the suitors are willing to buy it off.
Tanzania’s Singida Black Stars, home to Uganda Cranes captain Khalid Aucho are the front runners in the race for Mubiru’s signature but compatriots Simba and Rwanda’s record champions APR are also interested.

It remains to be seen whether Villa will let go of one of their most important players but a huge transfer window awaits.
