Golden Eaglets star shoots to top of NPFL goals race
Former Golden Eaglets winger Joseph Arumala is now the leading scorer in the NPFL.
The exciting winger scored his 11th goal of the season for Ikorodu City in their 4-3 home win over Warri Wolves Sunday.
Arumala, who was in the Golden Eaglets Class of 2021, is now joint leading scorer of the league with the veteran Godwin Obaje of Enugu Rangers.
Another veteran, Victor Mbaoma, has also joined the chase for the NPFL hotshot award after he netted his 10th goal of the season.
He scored for Remo Stars to salvage a 1-1 draw at El Kanemi Warriors.
Daddy Abdulrahman (El Kanemi) and Uche Collins (Katsina United) are the other players on 10 goals.

NPFL ROUNDUP: Ahmed Musa Kano Pillars hero, Rivers United stay top
Former Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa rolled back the hand of the clock when he was named Man of the Match as he scored the match winner for Kano Pillars in the city derby against Barau FC, while Rivers United maintained their leadership of the NPFL with a home win over Bayelsa United.

On the back of this derby victory, Pillars are 15th on the table on 35 points from 29 matches, two points above the relegation zone.
Rivers United beat Bayelsa United 3-1 in a rescheduled home game to stay two points ahead of second-placed Enugu Rangers in the title race.
The Port Harcourt club have two games in hand.
Rangers thrashed Remo Stars 4-1 to compound the relegation fears of the Ikenne club.
Remo Stars are bottom of the standings with 30 points from 29 matches.
Nasarawa United pipped Ikorodu City by the odd goal to remain third with 47 points.
In other matches, Kwara United won 2-1 at Katsina United, but still languish in the relegation zone in 18th position with 32 points, while there were home wins for Warri Wolves, Abia Warriors, Kun Khalifat and Wikki Tourist.
