Kelechi Iheanacho has said he is delighted to return to action by scoring the goal for Celtic to win at Dundee United and stay in the title chase.

Iheanacho, who has endured an injury-troubled season, came off the bench to score for Celtic to beat Dundee United 2-1 Sunday in continuation of the Scottish Premier League.

It was the first goal for the 29-year-old striker since early October.

“It feels good to help the team to get the win,” he told Celtic TV

“We really showed character and we really worked hard to get the win.

“I think, especially in the first half, we blew them away and had a few chances, but unfortunately it didn’t click.

“In the second-half they came back and scored the penalty, but at the end we got the points which is massive.”

Celtic are third in the standings behind leaders Hearts and second-placed Rangers.

After 32 rounds of matches, they have 64 points, three points behind leaders Hearts.
