Swedish club confirm interests for new sensation Zadok
Swedish club AIK have confirmed there have been interests in youngster Zadok Yohanna after his super start to the new season.
Eighteen-year-old winger Zadok crowned a five-star performance with the winning goal for AIK to beat Halmstad 2-1 on the opening day of the season last weekend.
The buzz from such a sensational start has attracted the interests of clubs, according to AIK recruitment manager Miika Takkula.
“He has started the season well so it is obvious that there is interest from outside, which is positive for the player and for the club, said Takkula.
“But now we are just focused on helping him develop even more. There is still room for improvement.”
When Fotbollskanalen asked if he has received many questions about Zadok from agents, scouts and club representatives, he turned around and laughed heartily.
“Let’s say there is interest,” Takkula replied.
The phone has run hot, quite simply.
The recruitment manager did not want to talk about individual clubs that are scouting/showing interest, but when asked if these are big clubs, he calmly stated: “It is obvious that clubs have noted that he has done well with us, and that he has an interesting profile.”
Have there already been bids for him or is it too early for it to be that concrete?
“Hehe, as I said earlier, there is interest. That’s what I can comment on,” Takkula answered and smiled again.
The Finn said he feels confident that the young winger will handle the upheaval well, saying he sees no risk of him floating away.
“It helps that we have an attitude that is about the collective. Our head coach talks all the time about the collective performance and being part of a collective,” he assured.

Will Onyedika succeed Arokodare as Ebony Boot winner?
Tolu Arokodare won the Ebony Boot for the best African player in Belgium last season and now compatriot and fellow Super Eagles star Raphael Onyedika has again been nominated for the top award.

Onyedika was also on the five-man short list for the award last season.
This season, the Club Brugge midfielder will battle for the top prize along with former Nigeria U23 star Promise David, his Union Gilloise teammate Adem Zorgane, Zakaria El Ouahdi (Genk) and Parfait Guiagon (Charleroi).
