Sky Sports: German giants track new sensation Zadok

Sky Sports Germany has reported that at least three top German Bundesliga clubs are interested in signing AIK of Sweden youngster Zadok Yohanna.

The clubs are Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and RB Liepzig.

RB Liepzig, for one, would need to replace Yan Diomande, who is in hot demand and most likely to leave this summer.

Zadok, 18, has caught the imagination after a sensational start to the new season in Sweden.

The left-footed right winger is only getting started, but his Swedish club plan to cash in on his big talent with several reports now saying they would let go the exciting youngster for between 20 and 25 million euros.

Flying Eagles winger completes Saudi Arabia switch

Flying Eagles winger Sani Suleiman has officially sealed a permanent transfer to Saudi Arabian club Al Qadsiah.

He did his routine medicals in Madrid, Spain, before he headed out to Saudi Arabia.

The 20-year-old winger failed to meet high expectations at Bundesliga club RB Liepzig, when he signed up in January.

The transfer to Saudi Arabia is worth around 10 million euros.

He has now signed a three-year contract with an option for an additional year.

Falconets get Semenya boost for World Cup clash vs China

Falconets of Nigeria have received a major boost ahead of today’s crucial U20 World Cup clash against China after Benfica striker Janet ‘Semenya’ Akekoromowei rejoined the squad.

Nigeria have been in a tug-of-war with Benfica over the striker’s release for the World Cup.

She was the first player to arrive in Poland for the tournament only for her Portuguese club to order her back to base after claiming they did not clear her for the competition.

The Falconets lacked fire power when they fell 2-0 to European champions Spain in their opening group game and Semenya, who has been capped by both the Super Falcons and Flamingos, will now be expected to be thier main goals threat.

China re top of the group after a 5-0 bashing of debutants New Caledonia.

Kick-off today is 5pm.

Super Eagles hopeful wins Goal of the Week

Al Ittihad striker George Ilenikhena, who could be called up for Super Eagles forthcoming 2027 AFCON qualifiers against Madagascar and Guinea Bissau, has been rewarded for his fine form in Saudi Arabia with the Goal of the Week.

One of his two goals in the 2-1 victory over Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr won him the top prize.

In the absence of injured Victor Osimhen, Ilenikhena, who was born in Lagos but previously played for the France age-grade teams, could well be poised for his Super Eagles debut later this month.

He posted on his Instagram page a photo of him fully kitted in Super Eagles colours posing besides an imposing eagle.

Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle liked the post.

Eric Chelle has convinced the 20-year-old striker to change international allegiance to the Super Eagles after following him while he was still playing in France with AS Monaco.
