Gujarat Titans (GT) continued their impressive run in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 with a dominant 82-run victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match 56 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday, May 12.

After being asked to bat first, GT posted a competitive total of 168/5 in their allotted 20 overs. Sai Sudharsan top-scored with a classy 61 off 44 deliveries, while Washington Sundar provided the late flourish with an unbeaten 50 off 33 balls. Nishant Sindhu also chipped in with a quickfire 22, helping the hosts recover after a shaky start. For SRH, Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain picked up two wickets each, while Pat Cummins chipped in with one scalp.

In response, SRH suffered a dramatic batting collapse and were bundled out for just 86 in 14.5 overs. Pat Cummins was the lone bright spot with a fighting 19 off nine deliveries, while Heinrich Klaasen contributed 14. However, the visitors failed to recover after losing early wickets, with none of the top-order batters managing to settle at the crease.

GT’s bowling attack was clinical throughout the innings, led by Kagiso Rabada and Jason Holder, who claimed three wickets each. Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna also made valuable contributions with two wickets apiece, while Rashid Khan chipped in with one scalp.

The third ODI between India and England is expected to be a riveting affair. The iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground in London will be hosting the high-voltage game at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London on Sunday, July 19.

The series is level at 1-1 and there is everything to play for in the final ODI. One of India’s key players in this upcoming contest is going to be Virat Kohli. The legendary batter was dismissed for just five runs in the first ODI at Edgbaston, Birmingham. Jofra Archer trapped him in front of the stumps. However, the former India captain bounced back emphatically in the second ODI at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff.

Kohli smashed 65 runs off just 66 balls, hitting eight glorious boundaries. He was eventually dismissed by Archer, caught at third man by Adil Rashid.

Now, Kohli would want to make a match-winning contribution in the decisive third ODI and help England win the series. It is a fitting time to take a look at Kohli’s ODI record at Lord’s.

Interestingly, this is the only venue where Kohli hasn’t scored an ODI half-century despite playing more than three matches. In the three outings at the Home of Cricket, the right-handed batter has scored only 77 runs at an average of 25.67 and a strike rate of 65.81. His highest score at this venue is just 45, which he made in 2018. This could be the last time the Delhi batter plays international cricket at Lord’s. He would want to make a solid impact on Sunday and helping the team win the series is a goal that will motivate him immensely.

While Kohli hasn’t done well at Lord’s so far, his overall record in England is staggering. In 35 matches, he has scored 1358 runs at an average of 50.14 and a strike rate of 91.17. He has notched up 12 fifties and one century. The final ODI will give him a chance to leave a defining legacy moment at Lord’s.

Who has most T20I wickets for India on English soil?

India take on England in a five-match away T20I series, of which the first T20I has been completed on July 1, unfortunately yielding no result due to a washout.

The team in blue have played 14 T20Is on English soil, with their first coming in the 2009 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Of these clashes, 10 have come against the Three Lions, of which they have won four and lost five, with one no-result contest.

Contests between these two teams have yielded mouth-watering encounters, and this series also promises to be one with exhilarating moments. The teams have often seen individual players step up with bat and ball, turning matches around for their teams. India has seen multiple players step up with the ball on English soil, and we take a look at who leads the pack among them.

Which Indian bowler has the most T20I wickets on English soil?

All-rounder Hardik Pandya leads the way for the most wickets by an Indian bowler in India. The right-arm seam bowler has picked up 11 wickets in five matches, averaging 14.63, striking at 10.3, and bowling at an economy rate of 8.47. He has made much use of his predominantly hit-the-deck style of bowling, which suits the bounce in English conditions.

His best bowling figures of 4 for 33 in England are one of two four-wicket hauls he has picked up in the country. He played his first game in England on July 3, 2018, at Old Trafford, where he picked up 1 for 33 in an eight-wicket win for the Indian side.

His first four-wicket haul came in the third game of the series in Bristol, where he finished with figures of 4 for 38 as India chased down 199 courtesy a stunning century from Rohit Sharma. He was the leading wicket-taker in the series, with six wickets in three games at an economy rate of 8.25.

Pandya’s subsequent appearance in the country in 2022 saw him pick up his best figures at Southampton. He scored a 33-ball 51 to go with his 4 for 33 in a Player of the Match performance as India won by 50 runs. His fifth and final appearance saw figures of 1 for 29.

Pandya, still a vital cog in India’s T20I machine, is absent from the series as he recovers from a back spasm. He is comfortably above his peers in the wicket tally in England, and is followed by Zaheer Khan, with seven wickets in five matches, in second, and Pragyan Ojha, who also has seven wickets but in three matches, in third. Arshdeep Singh and Ravi Bishnoi, with two wickets apiece, are the players in the current squad with the most scalps in England.

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will take on the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the grand finale of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Sunday, May 31, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The defending champions booked their ticket to the finale after beating the Titans in Qualifier 1. Throughout the tournament, they have looked like the team to beat and have extended their dominance from their title run in 2025. The Titans, who missed out on the top league spot by net run rate, earned their redemption by fighting through Qualifier 2. They have seen a solid resurgence after their initial playoff setback and enter the final looking to lift the trophy on their home turf.

The two teams have met three times this season, with RCB holding a 2-1 edge following their recent playoff encounter. Their first clash on April 24 saw the Titans post 205/3 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, courtesy of a magnificent Sai Sudharsan century. RCB comfortably chased down the target thanks to Virat Kohli’s brilliant 81.

The reverse fixture on April 30 in Ahmedabad saw the Titans get even, bowling out Rajat Patidar’s men for 155 via Arshad Khan’s three wickets and chasing it down with four wickets to spare. However, the stakes peaked in Qualifier 1 at Dharamshala, where RCB blew past GT by 92 runs after posting a playoff-record 254 for 5, powered by Patidar’s blistering 93* off 33 balls.
