Buweekula who won the trophy last season is in Bulange group alongside Kyaddondo, Buddu, Busujju, Buluuli and islanders Buvuma.

I am happy to be in Mubende on behalf of the Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II. It was a great game of football from the two teams although we did not see any goals which is the beauty of the game. I commend the discipline from the fans. I see the level of competition in this championship has gone up. The scorer of the winning goal in the Stanbic Uganda Cup (Jimmy Kalema) for Kitara in the final was the top scorer of the Buganda Masaza Cup.

Alex Kizito, who has been working as first assistant at the record champions Gomba Lions has tendered in his resignation.

Kizito cites ill-professionalism as the key lead to the tough decision taken.

I wish to formally resign from position as first assistant coach of Gomba Lions, effective immediately. The decision has not been easy. However, due to unresolved matters regarding my contract and some differences in how professional issues have been handled. I believe it is best for both parties that I step down at this time. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with the players, technical team and management. I learned a lot during my time here and I value the experience. I remain available to offer such a smooth handover and I wish the club continued success in the seasons ahead.
