Australia (AUS) will be looking to make it three wins from as many matches when they take on newcomers Netherlands (NED) in Match 14 of the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup in the port city of Southampton on Saturday, June 20

The Aussies come into the game on the back of a routine nine-wicket victory over Bangladesh in Leeds. The win was set up by their bowlers, restricting the opposition to a mere 77 from 20 overs. The batters then chased it down within 10 overs.

The Netherlands, on the other hand, have suffered two defeats from their opening two matches of the World Cup. Their most recent defeat came against India, losing by 95 runs. The tournament debutants will come into the game against Australia as underdogs.

Rose Bowl, Southampton Pitch Report

Offering a balanced contest between bat and ball, the Rose Bowl offers a pitch suitable for batters in the first innings, with slower bowlers and spinners coming into the fray towards the end of the game. Teams batting first can expect to put totals around the 150 to 160-run mark, which could be chased down under the right conditions.

The weather in Southampton is expected to remain cloudy for the majority of the day, which could help the fast bowlers generate swing.

AUS W vs NED W Head to Head Record

With the Netherlands qualifying for the Women’s T20 World Cup for the first time in their history, their meeting against Australia on Saturday will be the first time the two sides will face one another in T20I cricket. They have, however, faced each other five times in ODI cricket.

Georgia Voll has been in splendid form for Australia heading into the Women’s T20 World Cup. Despite scoring a duck against South Africa in the first game of the tournament, the right-handed batter showed her class against Bangladesh, hitting an unbeaten 45 to help her side to victory. She also scored 77 not out against the West Indies in a warm-up game in Cardiff.

Probable Best Bowler: Ellyse Perry

Ellyse Perry has been bowling relatively less over the past few years. However, that does not mean that she has lost her touch with the ball. The 35-year-old took two wickets against Bangladesh in Australia’s previous fixture whilst conceding just 14 runs from three overs.

Zimbabwe (ZIM) take on Australia (AUS) in the first ODI in a three-match series at the Harare Sports Club in Harare on Tuesday, September 15.

The Chevrons played their most recent ODI series in July against Bangladesh in Harare. They won the first two matches by the barest of margins before being outplayed in the third. The 2-1 series win will give them confidence heading into the clash against Australia, who will pose a much stiffer challenge.

On the other hand, Australia’s last ODI assignment was also against Bangladesh. This series was played in Dhaka in June. An inexperienced Australian side lost the first two matches without giving much fight. They won the last game by one wicket but it only served as a consolation as the series was lost 2-1.

Harare Sports Club: Pitch Report

The Harare Sports Club in Harare is expected to provide a surface where there is going to be a good contest between bat and ball. Fast bowlers could play a crucial role in the game as the high altitude could help them get some good bounce. The new-ball spells are also going to be important. The captain who wins the toss would want to bowl first to take advantage of early moisture which could be there on offer.

Zimbabwe (ZIM):

Ben Curran, Brian Bennett, Craig Ervine, Brendan Taylor,  Sikandar Raza (C), Tadiwanashe Marumani (WK), Ryan Burl, Brad Evans, Wellington Masakadza, Newman Nyamhuri, Blessing Muzarabani.

Australia (AUS):

Mitchell Marsh (C), Travis Head, Cooper Connolly, Cameron Green, Josh Inglis, Alex Carey (WK), Xavier Bartlett, Adam Zampa, Nathan Ellis, Josh Hazlewood, Spencer Johnson.

ZIM vs AUS: Probable Best Performers of the Match:

Probable Best Batter: Cooper Connolly

Cooper Connolly played a remarkable knock in the last ODI played by Australia. The opening batter scored 149 off 134 balls in testing conditions and helped Australia avoid a whitewash. He is likely to move to No. 3 with the returns of Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh. Expect the southpaw to play a key role.

Probable Best Bowler: Blessing Muzarabani

Blessing Muzarabani has been Australia’s nemesis in the past. He is going to be the bowler to watch out for on Tuesday. His height gives him an added advantage, especially at a venue where there is good carry for the pacers. If he gets his lines right, he could be quite a handful for the Aussies.

Fast bowlers could get some assistance from the surface with the new ball, particularly during the early stages, but spinners may struggle to extract significant turn.
