KIU Rangers bagged the second victory of the 2026 National Basketball League in as many games played.

KIU Rangers secured a well-deserved 55-41 victory against Angels in the 2026 NBL encounter at Lugogo Indoor Arena on Wednesday evening.

Sharon Kirabo had a stunning game dropping 18 points, pulling down 20 rebounds, making five assists and three steals.

In the column of double figures, Racheal Nambuya (13 points) and Cinderella Charity Anena (12 and 13) joined Kirabo for the KIU Rangers.

On the other hand, only Mellisa Nantambi reached points after dropping 10 points for the Angels.

The Angels waited for eight minutes to drop their first basket through Belindah Nakiryowa as they trailed by 17 in the opening stanza.

The Angels improved their defence in the second quarter matching the Rangers 11-11 but still trailed by 17 points going into the halftime break.

Coming from the locker rooms, Angels were limited to only four points as they further trailed by 29 points going into the final quarter.

Angels had a late charge in the fourth quarter dropping 24 points but it was not enough to give them anything positive from the game as they lost the game by 14 points.
