Divine Mukasa plays full time as Leicester City bows out of FA Cup to Southampton

Forward Divine Mukasa Tayon Mahogany continued to enjoy the valuable playing minutes at Leicester City since his loan move from Manchester City in January.

Leicester City bowed out of the FA cup at the fourth round after a 1-2 heart breaking loss to Southampton at the St Mary’s stadium in extra time.

Cyle Larin scored a penalty on the stroke of half time for the 1-0 lead by the mandatory opening stanza.

Oliver Skipp struck a beautiful volley in the 52nd minute past goalkeeper George Martin Long for the equalizer to push the game into extra-time.

During the extra-time, James Bree struck the winning goal in the 109th minute.

This was Mukasa’s third game at Leicester City and his second start.

Leicester City will return to action on Saturday, 21st February 2026 away to Stoke City at the Bet365 stadium in the English championship.

For starters, Mukasa was born in the United Kingdom to a Ugandan father and Lithuanian mother.

This makes the 18-year-old eligible to feature for Uganda, England or Lithuania.
