FUFA Big League 2025/26: Soltilo Bright Stars stun CATDA at Bugolobi

FUFA Big League 2025/2026 (Match day 16):

Soltilo Bright Stars Football Club edged CATDA 1-0 during a 2025/26 FUFA Big League duel played on Saturday, 21st February 2026 at the Bugolobi Coffee playgrounds.

Goalkeeper Ashiraf Sozzi put the ball into his own net for the all important strike for the visitors.

Kipper Luwalo and Bithum Nsunbiano made their debut for the Soltilo Bright Stars.

For CATDA, there were debuts for Ssozi, Allan Ongar, Simon Bazibu, Isaac Ssenyunja and Benjamin Amulu.

The victory for Soltilo Bright Stars lifts them to 25 points from 16 matches, same as Kigezi Home Boyz, Ntugasaze and Bunyaruguru United.

Other matches:

On Sunday, 22nd February 2026, there will be seven matches to be played at the different venues.

Mbale based Kataka shall face Bunyaruguru United at the Mbale City Stadium.

Paidha Black Angels will host Mbale Heroes at Bar Okoro stadium, Zombo in West Nile region.

Another West Nile club Onduparaka shall face Iganga United away at Iganga Ssaza grounds.

Kaaro Karungi takes on Kigezi Homeboyz at Kyamatte playground in Ntungamo District.

Wakiso Giants face Kiyindi Boyz at the Wakisha Recreational stadium. Ntugasaze will tussle Nebbi Central at the Ssaza grounds in Mityana.

Meanwhile, Young Elephant will take on the current leaders Blacks Power at the Elephant Park in Nwoya district.

Four clubs will be promoted to the Star Times Uganda Premier League for the forth coming 2026/2027 season.

Consequently, four clubs will be demoted from the FUFA Big League.
