Manila to host second stop of 3×3 Women’s Series
For the first time ever, Manila will host a stop in the 2026 FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series.
The Philippines will host the second leg of the global circuit on May 7-8.
Manila will welcome some of the world’s top women’s 3×3 basketball players as the season builds early momentum in Asia ahead of the Shanghai Final.
Gilas Women, who have been competing in the FIBA Women’s Series for the past two years, are set to represent the Philippines once again.
Last season’s pool included Afril Bernardino, Mikka Cacho, Tantoy Ferrer, Sam Harada, Kaye Pingol, and Hazelle Yam, finishing 18th out of 60 teams.
The Philippines’ continued participation underscores the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas’ commitment to the sport.
The season opens in Chengdu, China on May 1-2, before moving to Manila, and then heads to Shanghai, China on May 16-17.
Following the Manila leg, the series will continue through Europe and Asia in June and July, with stops in Vienna, Orléans, Amsterdam, Sumgait, Ulaanbaatar, Poitiers, Marseille, Marbella, Baku, and Batam, before returning to Asia with stops in Tokyo, Singapore, Bangkok, and Takasaki.
Additional stops in Europe and Asia are expected to be announced as the season progresses.
The 2026 season will conclude at the FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series Project Redwings Shanghai Final on September 5-6, where the top teams will battle for the championship.
