Black Pirates maintain perfect run with victory over Impis

National Rugby Premiership defending champions Black Pirates RFC continued their dominant run, defeating Impis RFC 31-09 at the Kings Park Arena on Saturday.

Playing at their home ground in Bweyogerere, the Sea Robbers produced a composed performance on both ends of the field to secure another convincing victory and maintain their place at the top of the league table.

Pirates controlled large spells of the game with their structured attack and disciplined defence, keeping Impis at bay despite several attempts from the visitors to break through.

The hosts managed to convert their pressure into points through well-worked phases of play and accurate kicking, gradually stretching the lead as the match progressed.

Impis managed to put nine points on the board but struggled to penetrate the Pirates’ defensive line consistently as the hosts remained in control for most of the contest.
