Fulham boss gives latest update on Iwobi injury
Fulham manager Marco Silva has given the latest update on the injury Alex Iwobi suffered at Brentford.
Iwobi was forced out of Saturday’s Premier League match at Brentford just before halftime by a suspected hamstring injury.
The Fulham boss said Iwobi himself gave him the assurance that the injury may not be that serious.
“Let’s hope it’s not serious,” said Silva, who admitted that Iwobi’s exit impacted negatively on his team’s performance in the second half.
“We have to assess in the next few days and we can take some conclusions.
“It’s a big miss for us because he is so crucial.
“First reaction I got from Alex – it’s not so bad, but in the next 24-48 hours, we will be more clear about it.”

Ligue 1 striker Man of Match to push for Super Eagles call-up
Prosper Peter was Man of the Match after he fired his fifth Ligue 1 goal of the season to further push for a call-up by the Super Eagles for next month’s Unity Cup in London.
The 18-year-old striker drew Angers level in the 27th minute, when he calmly slotted home a squared pass from six yards out.
He was awarded the best individual rating -8.1 points – in the game by Soccerway.
It was a vital goal and result for Angers at fellow relegation battlers Le Havre as they are now 10 points clear of the relegation zone with four rounds of matches to the end of the regular season.
However, Prosper Peter has already been capped by France at U19 level and it is yet to be seen whether he would need to formally apply for a change of international allegiance to play for the Super Eagles.
