Ligue 1 striker Man of Match to push for Super Eagles call-up
Prosper Peter was Man of the Match after he fired his fifth Ligue 1 goal of the season to further push for a call-up by the Super Eagles for next month’s Unity Cup in London.
The 18-year-old striker drew Angers level in the 27th minute, when he calmly slotted home a squared pass from six yards out.
He was awarded the best individual rating -8.1 points – in the game by Soccerway.
It was a vital goal and result for Angers at fellow relegation battlers Le Havre as they are now 10 points clear of the relegation zone with four rounds of matches to the end of the regular season.
However, Prosper Peter has already been capped by France at U19 level and it is yet to be seen whether he would need to formally apply for a change of international allegiance to play for the Super Eagles.
