Iheanacho double fires Celtic to Scottish Cup Final

Kelechi Iheanacho has continued his fine form after he scored twice in extra time to lift Celtic to the Scottish Cup Final.

Celtic were held to a 2-2 by St.Mirren and so the deadlock had to be decided in extra time.

In the fifth minute of extra time, Iheanacho rose highest at the near post to head home a cross.

He then got his brace in the 100th minute, when he curled home a stunning strike from just inside the box.

The Scottish Cup final on May 23.

Super Eagles star seeks Premier League escape after Ligue 1 no-show

Super Eagles midfielder Tochukwu Nnadi may have seen limited game time at new French club Olympique Marseille that his entourage is now seeking for the player to move to the Premier League.

The 22-year-old Nnadi is not part of Olympique de Marseille’s future plans, and coach Habib Beye does not intend to use him, despite having only joined the club in February 2026.

Nnadi, who has one cap for Nigeria, has made four appearances in Ligue 1 this season after previously making 18 in the Jupiler Pro League.

Several Premier League clubs, including West Ham United, Crystal Palace, and Newcastle United, have previously been linked with the player, who has a current Transfermarkt market value of €3.00m

Fulham boss gives latest update on Iwobi injury

Fulham manager Marco Silva has given the latest update on the injury Alex Iwobi suffered at Brentford.

Iwobi was forced out of Saturday’s Premier League match at Brentford just before halftime by a suspected hamstring injury.

The Fulham boss said Iwobi himself gave him the assurance that the injury may not be that serious.

“Let’s hope it’s not serious,” said Silva, who admitted that Iwobi’s exit impacted negatively on his team’s performance in the second half.

“We have to assess in the next few days and we can take some conclusions.

“It’s a big miss for us because he is so crucial.

“First reaction I got from Alex – it’s not so bad, but in the next 24-48 hours, we will be more clear about it.”

Super Eagles forward sent off

Hamburg winger Philip Otele, who recently made his Super Eagles debut, saw red in a Bundesliga game at Werder Bremen.

The second-half sub was given a straight red card in the 79th minute for a serious foul.

Home side Werder Bremen were leading 2-1 in The Nordderby when the winger was given the marching orders after he stayed on his feet with his opponent underneath him.

It was Hamburg’s eighth red in the Bundesliga this season, the highest in the league.
