Partey misses Ghana World Cup opener vs Panama
Ghana top star Thomas Partey will miss an opening World Cup game against Panama Wednesday after he was refused entry to Canada.
The Canadian government has refused his visa so he can’t feature against Panama.
Partey has been charged with multiple counts of rape, five last year, and two in February.
He pleaded not guilty and is awaiting trial.
FIFA say they play no role in the immigration, including granting entry visas.
The Black Stars are already without top stars Mohammed Kudus and Alexander Djiku
