FEASSA Games 2026 (Boys’ Football)

Match Day One Results:

• Amus College School (Uganda) 1-0 Mbeya Day (Tanzania)
• St Mary’s Yala (Kenya) 0-1 St Mary’s Kitende (Uganda)
•  Kakamega School (Kenya) 1-2 Kyadondo SS (Uganda)
• IPTEM Makamba (Burundi) 2-3 Nsumba (Tanzania)
• Urambo Day (Tanzania) 2-2 Bukedea Comprehensive School (Uganda)

The 23rd edition of the Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSA) Games officially commenced on Friday, 14th August 2026 in Morogoro, Tanzania.

Boys’ football action witnessed five matches played across the different venues.

There were four clear-cut victories and one stalemate.

Amus College School, St Mary’s Boarding School Kitende, Kyadondo S.S and Nsumba (Tanzania) all won their respective games.

The Urambo Day (Tanzania) and the FEASSA current boys’ football champions, Bukedea Comprehensive School, played to a 2-all draw.

Ijosiga Mudashir scored for Amus College School in the 1-0 win over Mbeya Day at the Highlands Sports Facility.

St Mary’s Kitende edged St Mary’s Yala 1-0 courtesy of Laurian Lwesibawa’s strike.

Kyadondo S.S beat Kakamega High School from Kenya 2-1 at Jamuhuri.

Bukedea Comprehensive School twice squandered their lead during the 2-all draw with Urambo Day from Tanzania.

Tanzanian side Nsumba S.S outwitted IPTEM Makamba 3-2.

The group stage games continue on Saturday, 15th August 2026.

The host country (Tanzania) is joined by teams from Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Burundi in over 20 sports disciplines with over 5000 participants gracing the championship.

Football aside, there is competition in Rugby, Netball, Volleyball, Hockey, Athletics, Swimming, Cricket, Baseball & Softball, Tennis, Scrabble, Chess and others.

Secondary and primary schools as well as institutions for special needs children are all in action.

Team Uganda is the reigning overall champions.

The championship, now marking 23 years since inception, will officially be opened on Sunday, 16th August 2026 with FEASSA top brass officials, Tanzania Government representatives as well as others from the participating countries all taking part.
