Boys’ Football: 10-man Amus College School whip Burundi’s IPTEM |2026 FEASSA Games

FEASSA Games 2026 (Boys’ Football):

Group A:

• Amus College School (Uganda) 3-0 IPTEM (Burundi)
• Mbeya Day (Tanzania) 2-0 Nsumba SS (Tanzania)

Group C:

• Bukedea Comprehensive School (Uganda) 1-1 Kyadondo SS (Uganda)
• Urambo Day (Tanzania) 1-0 Kakamega High School (Kenya)

Amus College School made it two-out-two victories with a 3-0 comprehensive victory over IPTEM from Burundi during the on-going 2026 FEASSA Games at the Jamuhuri stadium in Morogoro city, Tanzania.

Kombi Eze, Musa Suuna and Mudasir Ijosiga (penalty) were all on target for the Bukedea District based school.

The reigning Uganda national football champions completed the game with a man less following a red card to Mathias Kasadah.

This was Amus College School’s second victory of the campaign after a 1-0 win over Mbeya Day at the Highlands sports complex on Friday.

They are now guaranteed of qualification to the quarter finals.

Amus College School now has six points, topping Group A with the last group game coming against Tanzanian opposition, Nsumba SS on Tuesday, 18th August 2026.

Meanwhile, Mbeya Day beat fellow Tanzanians Nsumba SS 2-0 for their first win in Group B.

In Group C, Urambo Day overcame Kenya’s Kakamega High School 1-0 whilst the all Ugandan affair between Bukedea Comprehensive and Kyadondo SS ended 1-all.

Bukedea Comprehensive School completed the game with a man less after a sending off.

The host country (Tanzania) is joined by teams from Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Burundi in over 20 sports disciplines with over 5000 participants gracing the championship.

Football aside, there is competition in Rugby, Netball, Volleyball, Hockey, Athletics, Swimming, Cricket, Baseball & Softball, Tennis, Scrabble, Chess and others.

Secondary, primary schools as well as institutions for special needs children are all in action.

Team Uganda is the reigning overall champions.                                      

The championship, now marking 23 years since inception will officially be opened on Sunday, 16th August 2026 with FEASSA top brass officials, Tanzania Government representatives as well as others from the participating countries all taking part.
