Brighton & Hove Albion Ladies’ goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie will be all out to redeem herself this weekend in England’s Women’s Super League, when her side play host to Arsenal Ladies on Sunday, Sports247 reports.

Nnadozie had a torrid game last weekend, as her team fell away to West Ham United Ladies and the Super Falcons’ first choice will seek atonement versus The Gunners, in front of home fans at Broadfield Stadium.

She will hope for a better performance than what she had in London, where Gabonese-born French star, Viviane Asseyi hit a dramatic 91st-minute winner as West Ham scored three times in nine second-half minutes.

That helped The Hammers defeat the visiting Brighton 3-2, though Nnadozie’s side led the way with eight minutes remaining, thanks to goals from Kiko Seike and Manuela Vanegas.

Although Nnadozie made five good saves, she failed to stop Ffion Morgan from starting the hosts’ stunning comeback in the 82nd minute, as her wayward cross deceived the Brighton goalkeeper and ended in the back of the net.

Four minutes later, the Nigerian shot-stopper was also at fault for West Ham’s equaliser, as she got off her line to clear the ball but hit it against Shekiera Martinez, who tapped into an empty net.

Asseyi then struck the winner in second-half stoppage time after a scrap inside the box, thereby leaving Nnadozie in tears and needing to make amends quickly with this Sunday’s upcoming game at home versus Arsenal.
