Police, Entebbe UPPC seek victories to keep within leaders Vipers

Joint third placed Entebbe UPPC and Police face Mbarara City and Buhimba United Saints respectively on Tuesday aiming for maximum points to keep pace with leaders Vipers.

The duo, alongside record champions SC Villa are on 31 points, six behind Vipers and must win to keep faint title hopes alive.

The Printers come into the game following a frustrating goalless draw with Express at Nakivubo and will be desperate for not only victory but also extend their clean sheet record.

The reverse fixture ended in a 1-1 draw and the Ankole Lions, despite faltering for most of the season will be buoyed by their 1-0 win over Calvary in the recent outing.

At Royal Park, Butema, Police take on troubled Buhimba United Saints knowing they must win.

Like Mbarara City, Buhimba are also a tricky customer who want to win by all means to continue moving away from the relegation monster.

Mbarara City are on 15 points, three better than UPDF who occupy the top position on the relegation table while Buhimba United Saints are one point less.

In the late kick off on Tuesday, champions Vipers host NEC at St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende under the floodlights.
