Vipers wary of NEC threat
Leaders Vipers will be wary of threat posed by NEC when the two sides off in the premier league on Tuesday at St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende.
The two sides drew 1-1 in the reverse fixture at Lugogo but the second-round meeting comes at a time with confidence high in the Bugolobi camp after extending their unbeaten streak to seven matches in all competitions following a 3-1 victory giants KCCA.
Vipers are also in decent form having not lost a game on the pitch this season but were held by BUL in their last outing which saw their lead cut to just two points at the moment in the aftermath of the decision to forfeit three points to Kitara.
Ex-Vipers players Ibrahim Kiyemba, Richard Basangwa, Joseph Dhata, Paul Mucureezi and Siraje Sentamu are expected to feature against their former bosses.
Meanwhile, Karim Watambala, Milton Karisa and Usama Arafat will again be tasked to unlock the NEC backline that four clean sheets in the last six league matches.
