Liberty University’s claim of signing Brian Jjara denied by player’s camp
Brian Jjara has not joined United States side Liberty University soccer team in the USA NCCA Division One despite the club announcing him as their new signing, his camp confirms.
The Ugandan youth international caught the attention of scouts during the U17 World Cup in Qatar and reports suggest he is due to fly to Europe to seal a deal.
Jjara is currently with KCCA squad in Hoima ahead of the Premier League clash against Buhimba United Saints at Royal Park, Butema.
“We are shocked by an announcement from Liberty University because there has never been any contact or deal with them,” a member of his camp told Kawowo Sports.
“For now, Jjara is with KCCA and will only leave at the right time with Europe being the destination,” he added.
Compatriots James Bogere and Hamza Ssengooba are two players that have already secured stints abroad in Denmark from the U-17 team that represented Uganda in Qatar.
