SC Villa coach Zeljko wary of Calvary threat

SC Villa shift focus to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League when they visit bottom based Calvary at Midigo in Yumbe on Monday.
The game comes a few days after an energy sapping Uganda Cup game against BUL that Villa won on penalties after a 2-2 draw at Fufa stadium, Kadiba.
Villa travelled 500km and that has left head coach Zeljko Kovacevic worried of the fatigue.
“It will be a very difficult game,” said Zeljko. “The journey is long but we can’t use that as an excuse but after that game against BUL, you imagine fatigue,” he added.
“However, we are to win and try to close the gap because we want to go on top of the table,” he concluded.
Villa will be without workaholic Najib Yiga who is suspended for accumulation of three yellow cards while left back Simon Ssemayange is a doubt as well.
With 34 points in 4th position, a win will take Villa to second place on the table, one behind leaders Vipers who are not in action until Tuesday with a home tie against Lugazi.
Calvary are still in search of their first topflight win but have picked a point off among others Vipers and Express in Midigo.
The 17-time record champions won the reverse fixture 1-0 courtesy of an early goal from Aslam Ssemakula.
Elsewhere on Monday, KCCA travel to Buhimba United Saints at Royal Park, Butema.
