Super Eagles star now at mercy of Premier League club
Premier League club Crystal Palace will no longer be compelled to sign Super Eagles forward Chrisantus Uche at the end of his loan spell.
This is because he failed to start 10 Premier League games that would have made it mandatory for the London club to sign him on a permanent basis from Spanish club Getafe.
According to Marca, Crystal Palace will not exercise the mandatory purchase option for Chrisantus Uche.
The option required Uche to start 10 Premier League matches.
Following Crystal Palace’s victory over Tottenham Thursday night, it is impossible for him to reach that number because he has not started any games and only nine matches are left.
The only way for the Nigerian to remain in England is now through a voluntary purchase by Palace.
