Blackburn Rovers fullback Alebiosu finally made his Super Eagles debut when he featured in the 2025 AFCON group game against Uganda.

It was his first and last game in Morocco after he suffered a deep cut in the leg.

A Super Eagles official has now told SCORENigeria that Alebiosu has come to stay in the national team and that Ola Aina, who missed the AFCON due to injury, would have to up his game to keep out the Blackburn Rovers star from the starting XI.

“Alebiosu is a warrior,” he remarked.

“He is full of running, has great recovery rate and he is ready to do battle against any forward.

“It was just unfortunate that Nigerians did not get to see more of the boy at the AFCON other than the Uganda game.

“Do you know that he didn’t even know that he had suffered a major injury in that game until someone pointed out that his socks was bloodied?

“Yes, Ola Aina now has a big fight in his hands for the right back position of the Super Eagles.”
