Africa Golf Confederation set to host 2026 All Africa Junior team championship in Kenya

The Africa Golf Confederation (AGC) is excited to host the 2026 All Africa Junior Team Championship in Nairobi, Kenya.

This event will take place at the prestigious Windsor Golf Country Club from March 22nd to 26th, 2026.

The Kenya Golf Federation, in collaboration with the Kenya Golf Union and Junior Golf Federation, is coordinating the event management.

Johnson Omolo, the president of Africa Golf Confederation hinted that 14 countries are set to take part in a championship which is a qualifier for the Toyota Junior World Cup in Nagoya city, Japan.

This exciting tournament will feature 14 countries, including Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Mauritius, Zambia, Egypt, Tunisia, Nigeria, Morocco, Cote d’Ivoire, and Ghana. The event will serve as a qualifier for the Toyota Junior World Cup of Golf in Nagoya, Japan, with winners in both boys’ and girls’ categories securing a spot. The AGC continues to promote Africa as a premier destination for golf tourism and investment, showcasing the continent’s rich culture, security, and favorable climate, alongside emerging world-class hospitality investments. The growth of junior golf in Africa has been remarkable, and the introduction of regional junior golf events has provided young golfers with increased international exposure and opportunities to compete for their countries.

Defending champions South Africa, 18-time winners, have confirmed their participation in both categories, leading the charge for top honors.

“We appreciate the support from Kenyan stakeholders in hosting this prestigious event. We are poised for an unforgettable championship in Kenya, highlighting Africa’s best junior Golfers.” Omollo added.

Meanwhile, team Uganda has already embarked on the training regime under head coach Flavia Namakula.
