Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika has rejected a new contract from Club Brugge and would rather make a big-money transfer this summer.

Het Nieuwsblad has reported that Club Brugge have been attempting for some time to have Onyedika sign a new contract, but he has rejected the proposals so far.

Club Brugge did not allow Onyedika to leave in January as he was considered too important for the title race.

According to Het Nieuwsblad, Onyedika is eager for a transfer in the upcoming summer, and this has affected his focus in recent weeks.

Premier League club Aston Villa are among the clubs monitoring the player’s transfer situation.

Wolfsburg made a significant attempt to sign Onyedika at the end of the January window, while fellow Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt have also been linked to the 25-year-old midfielder.
