The Super Eagles will do battle with co-hosts Tanzania, Guinea-Bissau and Madagascar in Group L for places to the 2027 AFCON.

The top two teams will qualify for the final tournament to be hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda from June 2027.

This followed today’s draw ceremony for the tournament.

In the event that co-hosts Tanzania finish among the top two teams in this group, only one team will advance to the finals proper.

It is generally regarded as fair group from which the Super Eagles are expected to book their passage to the 24-team competition, which they have won thrice.

Forty eight teams have been drawn into 12 groups of four teams each.

The mini-league qualifying series will begin on September 21 and be concluded in March 2027.
