Swedish club AIK have said they will take a decision on whether or not Zadok Yohanna honours his first-ever call-up by the Super Eagles.

Zadok has missed his team’s last game due to a hamstring injury and he is currently in rehabilitation.

AIK head of recruitment Miika Takkula told Fotbollskanalen: “We have received the official invitation. Tomorrow we will go through it internally and then make a decision.

“We also have matches. We will go through it and then make a decision.”

He added: “We will go through it internally tomorrow and get a complete picture of everything. Then, as you mention, we have every right to keep him here. It is not an official date (national team date in the international calendar) and I think it is in our hands.”

If Yohanna joined the Super Eagles, he will miss at least one Allsvenskan match, the one against Sirius on May 30.

The 18-year-old winger is currently injured and missed AIK’s last match against Västerås SK (1-1).

“We are taking the injury status day by day. The rehab has been positive. But I don’t want to comment more than that,” Takkula said.
