Zadok won’t be released to Super Eagles
Swedish club AIK have announced that Zadok Yohanna will not be released to the Super Eagles for the Unity Cup in London.
“AIK Football is happy and proud that Zadok Yohanna has been selected for the Nigerian national team for the Unity Cup, which will be played in London between May 26-30, 2026,” the club disclosed in a statement.
“The decision not to let him travel to London is based partly on the fact that he is in rehabilitation, but also on sporting reasons, as Zadok is an important player for AIK Football Club.
“We look forward to seeing Zadok represent the Nigerian national team in the future.”
Zadok is currently in rehab for an injury and missed the last away match with Västerås SK (1-1) in the league.
If he had gone to the national team training camp, he would have missed AIK’s match against IK Sirius on May 30 in the Allsvenskan.
