Al Ahly’s midfielder Ashour scored his first ever international goal for Egypt in the 20th minute, a thunderbolt from about 20 yards after a decent assist from Mohamed Salah, on his 34th birthday.

Another Al Ahly player, Hany diverted a low cross from the right into his own net past goalkeeper Mostafa Ahmed Abdelaziz Mohamed Shobeir following pressure from Romelu Lukaku Bolingoli.

Lukaku had a minute earlier been introduced into the game with Belgium trailing.
