Portugal made it four points in two matches at the on-going 2026 FIFA World Cup after a commanding 5-0 win over Uzbekistan at the Houston stadium on Tuesday afternoon.
Cristiano Ronaldo netted a brace in this one-sided duel.
Nuno Mendes, Abduvohid Nematov (own goal) and Rafael Leao’s strike at the end inspired the Portuguese to maximum points.
Ronaldo was named the man of the match for the outstanding display.
At 41 years old, Ronaldo became the oldest player ever to score more than one goal in a single World Cup game (brace).
Portugal played to a 1-all in the opener with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
They now have four points as they top Group K.
DRC will face Colombia later on in the two countries’ respective second matches.
