URA Ladies clinch 2025/26 FUFA Women Elite League
URA Ladies are the Champions of the 2025/26 FUFA Women Elite League after defeating Jinja United Women FC in the final on Saturday at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.
The Tax Collection secured a hard fought 1-0 win to emerge Champions of the second tier league on the women’s football pyramid in Uganda.
The lone goal came through Belinda Hope Nabawanuka who drilled a low drive past the onrushing goalkeeper at the half hour mark.
It should be noted that both teams have already secured their places in the FUFA Women Super League next season.
URA Ladies topped Elizabeth Group while Jinja United finished top of Victoria Group. According the FUFA Competitions rules, the leaders of either group at the end of the regular season get promoted.
The 2026/27 FUFA Women Super League is expected to kickoff in October.
