NFF congress reps kick against Normalisation Committee
For fear of losing the dominance of state FA chairmen in the governance of Nigerian football, representatives of the NFF congress have kicked against the setting up of a Normalisation Committee for the country’s national sport.
Instead, they have proposed a Caretaker Committee to administer the sport in the absence of the NFF executive committee that resigned recently.
These representatives have even gone ahead to nominate members of this Caretaker Committee, which will have a life span of between three and six months.
The nominees include Christopher Green, Abubakar Ladan and Waheed Akanni.
FIFA said they are yet to take a decision on the way forward for Nigerian football following the resignation of the entire NFF executive committee led by Ibrahim Gusau.
