SC Villa progressed to the quarterfinals of the 52nd Uganda Cup.
The Jogoos overcame Maroons 1-0 during the Round of 16 stage duel at the FUFA Stadium – Kadiba on Thursday night.
Burly forward Andrew Otim scored the lone strike with ten minutes to play, capitalizing upon a mistake by Simon Tamale, who failed to tame a low drive from Charles Lwanga.
Villa advances to the quarterfinal stage, where they join other Premier League sides such as KCCA, Kitara, Vipers, NEC, and the Regional League side Happy Boyz Kagaba.
The Round of 16 duels continue on Friday, 20th March 2026, with Express hosting Red Devo at the Hamz Stadium. On the same day, URA will face Tapo Football Club.
