Asubo Ladies officially confirmed their relegation from FUFA Women Super League on Saturday morning after suffering a humiliating loss to Kawempe Women.

The club has had a torrid season and their fate was sealed on Saturday with an 8-0 loss to runaway leaders Kawempe at the Kampala Quality playground.

Latifa Nakasi led the way for the Valley Warriors, bagging four goals to take her goal tally to nine this season.

Asia Nakibuuka scored twice while Sharifah Nakimera and Agnes Nabukenya added a goal each to complete the rout.

It should be noted that this is the second time Asubo Ladies were conceding 8 goals in one game this season. They lost by the same scoreline against Kampala Queens a few days ago.

With four games to play, Asubo has conceded 57 goals in 18 games, scored only just five and yet to win.

Asubo Ladies therefore join Olila High School as the two teams that will be relegated this season. Olila’s fate was decided earlier this week when they were docked three points for forfeiting a game, the second time this season.

Should Olila miss another game, they would be relegated to the regional league. The Soroti based outfit has one point in 18 games.
