Besiktas confirm Ndidi’s hamstring injury
Turkish club Besiktas have announced that Wilfred Ndidi suffered a hamstring injury during the Super Lig game versus Fenerbache.
The club statement did not say how long the Super Eagles captain will be sidelined, however.
Ndidi was forced out of the match by the injury in the 85th minute.
The midfielder also bagged his fourth booking of the season in that game and as such he will miss his team’s next match at home against Antalyaspor Friday.
Besiktas lost the Istanbul Derby 1-0 at the weekend to deal a big blow to their title aspirations.
They are now a distant fourth in the standings with 52 points, 12 points behind leaders Galatasaray with six round of matches to the end of the regular season.
