Let the party begin, Frank Onyeka and Coventry City are back in the Premier League after 25 long years.

They needed a point to seal their promotion back to the top-tier and they did so tonight at Blackburn Rovers.

Super Eagles defender Ryan Alebiosu was flying for the Rovers and was even involved in his team’s opening goal soon after the restart.

But Coventry left it late until the 85th minute to salvage the result they needed to rubber stamp their return to the Premier League.

They now have 86 points from 43 matches to sit pretty at the top of the standings.

Onyeka started the game, he was involved in an injury scare early on, before he was booked and later replaced tonight.

Promotion to the Premier League will now confirm the midfielder’s permanent transfer to Coventry City from Brentford.
