Vipers crowning, fight for top 8 and golden boot
For the eighth time in history, Vipers will be crowned league champions after claiming the 2025/26 title.
The crowning moment will be preceded by a contest against Express at Kitende with the aim to win in front of their own fans before landing hands on the Premier League trophy, for a successive season.
Battle for top EIGHT
The other interesting fixtures will be the ones involving sides fighting to secure a top eight position in order to feature in the pre-season Fufa Super 8 tournament.
For visiting Express, they will target maximum points as they aim to finish in the top eight.
They currently sit in 9th position on the log with 37 points and must win and hope 8th placed Bul falter at Fisheries Grounds, Bugonga.
The two sides; Express and Bul are tied on same points but the Jinja based side are above on head-to-head stat.
The other fixture involving a side fighting for a top eighth finish is Maroons who visit Lugazi at Najjembe.
The Prison warders are on 35 points, in 10th position and must win and hope that both Express and Bul falter in their respective matches.
Battle for SECOND position
KCCA and SC Villa are still grumbling for second place.
Second placed Kasasiro host Mbarara City at Lugogo needing to match Villa result who host UPDF at Fufa stadium, Kadiba.
The Kasasiro are on 59 points, one ahead of the Jogoos who are three ahead of fourth placed Kitara who can overtake Villa in 3rd place with a win over Police at Butema but only if the Jogoos lose to the army side.
Elsewhere, already relegated Calvary host NEC at Midigo.
All the eight matches will kick off simultaneously at 3pm [EAT]
Battle for GOLDEN boot
This could be another exciting battle with KCCA’s Ivan Ahimbisibwe on 13 goals leading the charge, one ahead of Entebbe UPPC’s premier league debutant Ambrose Kigozi and two better than Vipers’ Karim Watambala.
Usama Arafat, on 10 goals as well could be in the race but must score at least three times and hope those above him in the race don’t get on the score sheet.
