ANTIPOLO — In another solid display of experience, Barangay Ginebra booked a return trip to the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals after disposing of Rain or Shine, 118-107, in Game 6 of the semis on Sunday at the Ynares Center here.

The Kings erupted for 38 big points in the second chapter, weathered the Elasto Painters’ storm in the third, and then closed it out in style behind the usual suspects as they, simply put, no longer wanted to play in a Game 7.

Justin Brownlee nailed the booming trey to push their lead to a decade with 3:10 to go, then came RJ Abarrientos and Scottie Thompson with hits of their own to finish it off, as the Elasto Painters couldn’t find any extra gear to fight back.

That, of course, was much to the delight of the sold-out crowd in attendance as the traditional contenders cruised to the victory to make up half of the Season 50 Commissioner’s Cup Finals picture.
