The Slavia Praha central defender has had a scan on the injury and it is understood he will be out of action for at least nine months.

A team official told SCORENigeria: “He could be out for as long as nine months. It’s a major injury.

“We wish him quick recovery.”

Ogbu featured at the invitational Unity Cup in London as well as the friendly against Poland, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
