Namuwongo Blazers take on Kampala Rockets in the National Basketball League at Abja Park, Nalya on Wednesday.

The Blazers picked a dominant 88-75 win in the first round as they lanched the title defense.

Kampala Rockets have faced a dissapointing campaigning and will get into the game after being relegated in the FUBA Division One.

The Rockets have lost all their games in the second round. In the whole season they have only picked two wins against JT Jaguars and UPDF Tomahawks.

The Rockets have struggled due to financial challenges that left the club without the muscle to have training sessions and pay arrears.

After falling to Rezlife Saints, the Blazers have opened a three-game winning streak as they beat City Oilers, Sommet and Victoria Crocs.

The Blazers’ deep roster has continued to be their biggest weapon since it allows the coach to manage players’ time and energy.
