Super Eagles honour new Centurion Iwobi
The Super Eagles will present Alex Iwobi with a commemorative plaque to celebrate his 100th appearance before tonight’s friendly against Portugal.
The 30-year-old Fulham star will join an elite group of players led by Ahmed Musa, who have reached a century of appearances for Nigeria.
Goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama and Joseph Yobo are the other players to hit this milestone.
After he represented England at youth level, Iwobi made his Super Eagles debut on October 8, 2015, in a friendly against DR Congo.
One of the highlights of his international career was scoring the goal against Zambia in Uyo that qualified Nigeria to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
He has scored 10 goals and made eight assists.
