Denis Lavagne has so been impressed with Vipers’ players’ mentality as the team continues to prepare what appears to be a huge season for the Venoms.

The French tactician has had a couple of weeks with his players since his appointment and likes what he sees at the moment.

“I like what I see,” the former Coton Sport Garua told club media. “The players have a good work mentality. We do some good sessions and step by step, we improve the physique and tactic because we have started preparing for Cecafa,” he added.

“I like what I see especially the mentality of the players. I have seen some good actions, some special things collectively so we are on a good way.”

Asked how he would love his team to play, the French tactician who also managed the Cameroon national team said he wants to dominance and control of matches.

“Vipers is the best club in Uganda so we have to be dominant, control the game and also put high pressure on the opponent so we have to be intelligent on when to be aggressive, when to attack, when to defend and handle every situation of the game well.”

His first task will be in the coming weeks when Vipers represent Uganda in the Cecafa Kagame Cup and Lavagne is anticipating good tests in Kigali.
